DIY Easter Egg Candles

Let me just start by saying, HAPPY SPRING! Spring is by far my favourite season.  I love the colours, the blossoms, the birds, and the anticipation of warmer days. Easter is fast approaching so here's another DIY to springify your space and decorate for the holiday.

Materials:

  • eggs
  • beeswax
  • wicks
  • natural dyes *optional*

Instructions:

  1. OPTIONAL: Dye your eggs.  There are two ways to do this, you can either dye the eggs before cracking them OR crack them, drain them, then dye them.  I dyed the yellow and greenish ones before cracking and the blue one after cracking.
  2. Crack the eggs open, drain the insides, and gently peel off the inner membrane
  3. Melt down the beeswax.  While the beeswax is melting, attach the wicks to the bottom of the egg shells.
  4. Pour the beeswax into the egg shells. Let the wax harden over night.
