Thorn & Thistle
Recently relocated to a bigger and better space, Thorn & Thistle is a floral boutique specializing in all things beautiful. Alexandra Powell and Nicole Ingram are the owners, operators and florists who have an eye for creating gorgeous floral arrangements and curating a shop full of beautiful, hard to find items for both your home and your garden. Their Instagram feed is full of the stunning bouquets they create for weddings, special events, and your everyday floral needs, while their shop is stocked with a selection of gifts, books, plants, and flowers.
One of the things I love most about Thorn & Thistle is the range products that they carry. When you head into the shop youβre guaranteed to find things that you canβt get anywhere else. Fancy watering cans, beautiful pots, and hard to find books, for example, are among the more unique items they carry. While more popular items, like the beautiful Kinfolk Home bible and a section of Woodlot products are also stocked.
Although there's a wide selection of international items, Thorn & Thistle are big supporters of local businesses as well. A recent addition to their stock, for example, is the locally made, hand-poured beeswax and coconut Lux et Terra candles. And it's not just their products that they get locally. When they can, Thorn & Thistle source their flowers and greenery from local island farms! The pair also work in close contact with other local shops, supplying flowers to a number of beautiful stores in the area and have worked together to host a number of floral themed workshops.
Speaking of workshops! Previously, their workshops were held in spaces like Pigeonhole due to the small size of their old shop. This year, however, the girls are excited to be able to host workshops in their own big, bright, beautiful space. Something I canβt wait to check out!
